Who are CBD oiled?
CBD oiled is a new kind of hemp extract company.
We are a social enterprise, set up to promote the renaissance of the hemp industry and support the widespread use of CBD Oil (cannabidiol) and hemp extracts. We aim to educate and inform the public regarding the benefits of hemp and hemp oil (CBD oil) in relation to both the environment and the well-being of humans and animals.
As a social enterprise, we commit to donating a minimum of 51% of our profits to causes and projects focussed on hemp education, CBD and cannabinoid research, and the promotion of hemp as a sustainable, environmentally friendly crop.
Our mission is threefold.
- To disrupt the existing CBD oil industry by supplying the best hemp extracts at very competitive prices.
- To increase public understanding of hemp and cannabinoids to help eliminate the confusion caused by decades of negative propaganda.
- To put social benefit before profits by giving away over 51% of our profits to causes and projects that support the re-emergence of the hemp plant and the use of hemp extracts.
Our vision is a world where hemp is recognized as the ultimate crop. A world where the environment, animals, society, and individuals can all benefit from the re-emergence of a truly remarkable plant.
What is Hemp?
Hemp is a plant that has been used for many thousands of years. It has over 25000 listed uses and has been favoured by many cultures on almost every continent.
Hemp has been utilised for multiple applications including building, food, medicine, feed for livestock, clothing, paper, and oils for food and for lamplight. More recently it is being used to replace mineral oil in the production of plastics and biocomposites.
Hemp is often confused with psychoactive cannabis, but there is one major difference. Although hemp is cannabis sativa, hemp plants contain very low levels of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and are therefore non-psychoactive.
True hemp is grown industrially in the UK, Europe, Canada and the US mainly for fibre, seeds, oil, and CBD.
Hemp grows to maturity in as little as 12 weeks and can be grown without the use of insecticides or pesticides.
What is CBD oil?
CBD oil is the most precious and currently the most popular hemp extract.
CBD (cannabidiol) is one of the main active cannabinoids in both hemp and cannabis plants and is currently the subject of a growing number of research studies to determine its health benefits. Hemp actually contains over 100 different cannabinoids, with CBD and THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) being the two most well-known.
Unlike THC, CBD is non psychoactive and does not cause the feeling of being stoned or high. This has resulted in a high level of scientific and public interest in cannabidiol, as the potential health benefits may be enjoyed without the presence of psychotropic effects.
What is CBD oil used for?
People are using CBD oil for a wide range of health applications; anxiety, depression, insomnia, inflammation, skin conditions, epilepsy and fibromyalgia are just a few of the many conditions and illnesses currently being researched to determine if CBD could be an effective treatment.
Researchers have already proved that CBD oil is very effective for some forms of childhood epilepsy and it is now available on prescription in the UK and the US. There are also many anecdotal reports from patients suffering from a wide range of illnesses that give testimony to the efficacy of CBD.
CBD is also rapidly becoming a very popular ingredient in skin care lotions and creams.
Is CBD oil legal?
CBD oil is 100% legal in the UK as long as the THC content is below 0.2%.
There are no laws against purchasing or using cannabidiol. The World Health Organisation has recently released a report in which states it cannot find any adverse health consequences from the use of CBD.
In the US CBD is legal as long as it is extracted from industrial hemp with a low THC content.
CBD extracted from High THC marijuana is still illegal in the US.
