The CBAA Mental Health Ordinance is a groundbreaking policy that puts student well-being first, officially acknowledging mental health emergencies as valid reasons for absences or tardiness. More than just a policy — it's a lifeline. Whether you're battling burnout, anxiety, or simply feeling mentally drained, this ordinance provides you with the support you need to recover without penalty.
All bona fide CBAA students can now request the following accommodations for mental health-related concerns:
Extended deadlines without grade deductions
Late submissions accepted without penalties
Alternative activities for missed class requirements
However, there are clear guidelines to follow:
Absences must be submitted one day before or within two days after the absence.
Valid for 1 to 2 consecutive days only.
You can use this ordinance up to twice per semester.
