Cattle Manager — Privacy Policy

This privacy policy describes how the Cattle Manager app ("we", "our", "the app") collects, uses, stores and deletes information.
1. Information we collect
• Account information: name, email address, phone number and password hash, provided when you register.
• Farm data: records you create — cattle, breeding, health, feed, milk, weight, transactions, events and reports, including optional photos of your cattle and location data for your farm's address.
• Device information: a notification registration token (push notifications) and crash diagnostics (Firebase Crashlytics).
• Backups: copies of your farm data uploaded to your Google Drive when you enable cloud backup.
2. How we use information
• To provide the app's herd-management features and keep data in sync across your devices.
• To send you notifications you schedule (vaccinations, breeding, events).
• To improve reliability through anonymous crash reporting.
• To restore your data from backups you create.
3. Storage and security
• Your data is stored locally on your device in an application-sandboxed database.
• Cloud backups are encrypted (AES-256-GCM) before upload and stored in your own Google Drive.
• Data synced to Firebase is scoped to your account; access is controlled by server-side security rules.
• All network communication uses HTTPS.
4. Third-party services
• Firebase (Google): authentication, crash reporting, messaging and Firestore sync.
• Google Drive: cloud backup storage.
• Email/SMS providers: used only to deliver verification and password reset messages if you request them.
5. Data retention and deletion
• You can delete your account at any time from User Account → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your local data and requests deletion of your cloud data (Firebase account and synced records).
• Cloud backups you created remain in your Google Drive until you delete them there.
• To request deletion otherwise, contact the developer at the address shown in the Play Store listing.
6. Children's privacy
The app is intended for agricultural professionals and is not directed at children under 13.

We may update this policy; significant changes will be noted in the app.
