In 1990, she released her debut album, Move To This, which was a commercial and critical success. The album spawned four top 10 singles in the UK and three top 10 singles in the US, and was certified platinum in both countries. The album showcased Cathy's versatile vocal range and catchy melodies, as well as her collaboration with various producers and musicians, such as Dancin' Danny D, Shep Pettibone, Anne Dudley, Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards.
In 2014, Universal Music reissued Move To This as a deluxe remastered expanded edition, featuring two CDs with the original album and a collection of remixes and b-sides. The expanded edition includes the sought-after remixes and b-sides that were issued around the single releases, such as the Dance Hall Mix of "C'mon And Get My Love", the Club Mix of "Touch Me (All Night Long)", the L'autre Mix of "Too Many Walls" and the Funky Love Mix of "Just Another Dream". The expanded edition also includes the entire Everybody Move To The Mixes album, which was a limited edition remix album released in 1991, as well as some rare remixes that were only available in the US, such as the Paul Simpson US Remix of "Just Another Dream", the Dedication Mix of "C'mon And Get My Love" and the Alternative Bass Mix of "Just Another Dream".
The deluxe remastered expanded edition of Move To This is a must-have for any fan of Cathy Dennis or dance-pop music in general.
