Music Is Our Weapon is a unique nonprofit organization inspired by creativity. Volunteers are known to work with individuals from all walks of life, including people who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Catherine Sheridan and the Music Is Our Weapon team believe that music not only inspires people, but also motivates them! Using music as their guide, participants in the nonprofit’s programs and projects enjoy the unique cognitive development benefits of creating and performing.

Catherine Sheridan also supports Musicians On Call. The volunteers of this nonprofit organization bring live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in need of motivation. The project aims to lift spirits through music playing and performance. In Sheridan’s view, the work done by Musicians On Call is exemplary of how powerful music truly is! On the local level, the music tutor hopes to initiate a project similar to Musicians On Call. Sheridan’s idea involves visiting local retirement and nursing homes with her students to perform as a choir. She hopes that this effort will bring joy to those who need it the most!
Math Tutoring
Catherine Sheridan currently provides math tutoring services to students at all levels -- including adults returning to school for their GED! As far as Catherine is concerned, mastery of mathematics is not an innate ability or natural talent. Instead, it is an acquired skill and, as such, can be mastered by anyone -- no matter how difficult it may feel to start! Currently, Catherine offers General Math Tutoring and Standardized Exam Prep on the Bartering Exchange Network and by appointment.
