Where We've Been, and Where We're Going
After passage of Measure G, a General Obligation Bond approved by Castro Valley voters in the June 7, 2016 election, the Castro Valley Unified School District embarked on numerous improvement projects throughout the District. To date, the District has invested over $123 million in upgrading school sites.
Measure G has been critical to creating a foundation of success in facilities upgrades; however, the work is not done. Future projects will focus on clasroom improvements, health and safety, expanded support space, fields, and community spaces.
New classrooms to replace aging portables, long-term capacity needs, and modernization to support changing education programs
Addition or expansion of support spaces such as libraries, administrations, collaboration, or specialized programs
Field Upgrades and community center for year-round and community use.
