Friends of the Library, Daughhetee
Total of approximately $400 was raised at the Fall Harvest of Blessings, November 1, 2025
Fund Raising Committee continues to gather information for a capital campaign for new addition
A building fund sign thermometer will list the names of the $20,000 and up, donors for the addition
Imagination Library, Librarian Murphy
Currently 81 kids are signed up for the Imagination Library program.
Carole Pringle will take “Dolly” to the Rock ‘n Christmas program at Harlan Hall, Marshall
Programs and Events, Librarian Murphy
“Mother Goose on the Loose” with Abby Solorio, read to 17 kids remotely as well as those who attended the Wednesday morning program.
Organized a “Hide the Book Worm” activity in the library, for the kids attending
Authors Jill and Matt Cheatham’s presentation of “Rainy Day Miracle” on October 28th, was well received by guest attending
Saturdays, kids can get a DIY craft in a bag to make at the library or take home.

Recently received $5,000, which was used to purchase books
Candy Canes on Main lite Parade, Librarian Murphy
Christmas Light Parade, Friday, December 6, 2025. To get a float entry for the library we’ll need: willing workers to build and work day of parade, ideas, materials, and a trailer with tow vehicle.

Updated prints from Corodogan Clark of the proposed addition were presented
After discussion about the current prints, decision to call a special meeting was made.

November 14, 2025 – Special Meeting

Meeting Call to Order at 11:04 am by President Mathews
Special Meeting called with the intent to decide on style of ramp options on recent set of plans for new addition from Corodogan Clark.
Questions and concerns brought to the table.
Need front rendering of the building that includes the “Legacy Wall”
Placement of custodial closet,
agreed it be placed in the current women’s bathroom.
Door of new addition be a single 40” door, that opens back against North side of building
Definition of “wheelchair” that should be allowed in building to be ADA compliant?
Scooters, wheelchair, motorized wheelchair
Bathroom doors, question they be 40” for motorized wheelchairs
6. Is this size of addition presented on the prints the most cost effective
7. Construction cost.
8. Would all contractors have to be union since a public building?
Ramp discussion
Motion made and carried to construct the ramp proposal that is close to building with additional space to eliminate tight turns, especially with motorized wheelchairs.
Can the turn within the ramp up next to building be curved and more gradual?
Possible fill dirt to raise parking elevation?
Does the ramp have to be at the main entrance?
