Case IH Introduces Axial-Flow 260 Series Combine with Subscription-Free Technology
Case IH has unveiled its latest addition to the Axial-Flow family, the Axial-Flow 260 series combine, set for pre-order availability starting June 2024.
Pricing details will follow at a later date, as stated by Case IH.
This 13th-generation harvester is designed to fit within the AEM Class 7, Class 8, or Class 9 combine classifications, depending on its final configuration.
One standout feature is that purchasers of the combine will benefit from integrated technology without the need for subscriptions throughout the machine's operational lifespan.
"Our approach integrates all necessary technologies for seamless field readiness, eliminating the need for individual or recurring activation fees," shared a Case IH spokesperson with us.
Leo Bose, harvesting segment lead at Case IH, emphasized, "No subscriptions or activations are required to operate the machine," highlighting the company's commitment to offering connectivity that is subscription-free.
This connectivity allows customers to remotely access machine and agronomic data via the upcoming FieldOps platform, slated for launch later in 2024, which also aims to preserve the combine's future resale value.
The Axial-Flow 260 boasts the Harvest Command combine automation system, which optimizes settings autonomously to enhance throughput and grain quality.
Featuring the new ActiveTrac four-roller hydraulic suspended track system, it offers a larger operational footprint, reducing soil compaction and increasing flotation by 14% compared to fixed track alternatives.
The operator's cab includes high-resolution Pro 1200 Dual Displays, delivering real-time access to machine metrics, field performance, and grain quality.
Operators benefit from enhanced on-row accuracy, minimized header losses, and reduced fatigue with the new RowGuide Pro and AccuGuide auto-guidance systems.
AccuSync facilitates in-field data sharing among multiple machines, with no subscription requirements.
"The Pro 1200 Dual Displays consolidate all combine data on one screen, with coverage maps displayed on the other, streamlining my operations without the need to switch screens," noted Paul Paplow, farmer, custom harvester, and vice president at U.S. Custom Harvesters, Inc.
By introducing the Axial-Flow 260 series combine with subscription-free integrated technology, Case IH continues to innovate in the agricultural sector, aiming to enhance efficiency and profitability for growers worldwide.
