full supported retreats in silence with served meals

range from €45 per day for short stays of 7 - 10 days

depending on your dietary requirements or other needs

For longer periods or more flexible meal arrangements

rates can be discussed individually to suit each person

Working retreats are similar in style to workaway but quieter

board and lodge in return for roughly 25 hr per week work

This can be general land work such as gardening or forestry

or if you have specialist skills that are useful to the larger project

working days will also include quiet and silent periods

We are situated in the remote hills of central Portugal

yet less than 2 hours drive from Lisbon and Porto international airports both with good local rail links.

The stunning C13th cities of Coimbra and Tomar are both just a short drive with many sites of historical significance.

While the surrounding hills offer miles of criss crossing forest tracks for peaceful nature walks.

For water lovers there is our small local river for evening dunks

as well as the stunning gorge at Fragas de São Simáo for nature swimming

and the huge dammed lake of the River Zêzere for water sports and boating activities
