Realities of open-air jungle living we want you to be aware of!
Scorpions and insects live here, too. We do not spray insecticides broadly. To do so would harm many beneficial pollinators! However, we advise best practices to avoid an unwanted encounter with them in your Welcome Guide. There is also a health clinic and nurse on call with anti-venom medicine. True jungle life!
Compost food scraps in a pile near the house. We will instruct you - it isn't hard, but it does take a few minutes of your day. This is a way we honor the abundance and continued fertility of pacha mama/mother earth. Thank you for your agreement to care for food scraps and keep flies and other creatures in balance.
Keeping food contained. If left out, our four-legged neighbors may come into the kitchen and make a big mess and help themselves to your groceries!
There is a climb up a series of many steps with benches to rest along the way to reach Casa Paloma from the village. Please take your mobility and fitness levels into account when booking.
