Class overview

Welcome to Spanish 1! This course will focus on acquiring the Spanish language through the development of interpretive, interpersonal and presentation communication skills. There are two main objectives for this course. Firstly, to give students the ability to engage in simple conversation in authentic situations. Secondly, to provide students with instruction that teaches a basic understanding of the Spanish language. Students will often interview one another, engage in creative projects, view films and develop basic translation skills along the way. Students will also learn about various cultural customs, traditions, slang and language nuances seen in the Spanish speaking world.
