The App requests access to your device's approximate location to show nearby car wash locations and calculate distances. Your location is used only within the app and is not stored on our servers.
b) User-Submitted Content
When you voluntarily submit content through the App, the following information is stored:
- Photos you choose to upload of car wash locations
- Star ratings (1–5) and optional text comments
- Date and time of submission
This content is visible to all users of the App. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal identifier when you submit reviews or photos.
c) Technical Information
The App may collect limited technical information automatically, such as:
- Device type and operating system version
- App performance data and crash logs
This information is used solely to improve app stability and performance.
3. How We Use Information
We use the collected information to:
- Show car wash locations near your current position
- Display community ratings and photos within the App
- Improve the accuracy of car wash data
- Fix bugs and maintain App performance
4. Data Storage
User-submitted content (ratings, reviews, photos) is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider. Photos are stored in Supabase Storage and retained to provide community features of the App.
5. Third-Party Services
Car Wash Finder uses the following third-party services:
- Google Maps — to display the interactive map. Google's Privacy Policy applies: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Supabase — for database and photo storage: https://supabase.com/privacy
- Google Play Services — required for app functionality on Android devices
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent user data. We do not share personal information with third parties. Certain technical data may be processed by Google Play Services or other system-level services required for the App to function.
7. Camera and Photo Library Access
The App may request access to your camera and photo library only when you choose to upload a photo. We do not access your photos without your explicit action.
8. User Responsibility for Submitted Content
All photos, ratings, reviews, and comments submitted through the App are the sole responsibility of the user who submitted them. By submitting content, users confirm that:
- They have the right to upload and share the content
- The content is accurate and does not violate any applicable laws
- The content does not infringe on the rights of any third party
The developer of Car Wash Finder is not responsible for any user-generated content, including but not limited to photos, reviews, ratings, or comments submitted by users. We do not verify, endorse, or take responsibility for the accuracy, legality, or appropriateness of user-submitted content.
9. Disclaimer — Accuracy of Information
The information displayed in the App, including car wash locations, types, operating hours, and open/closed status, is provided for general informational purposes only.
Car Wash Finder makes no warranties or representations regarding:
- The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any location data
- Whether a listed car wash is currently operating, open, or in good condition
- Whether the services described match what is actually available at any location
The developer is not liable for any inconvenience, loss, or damage arising from reliance on information provided in the App, including but not limited to: visiting a location that is closed, permanently out of business, or different from what is described.
Users are advised to verify information independently before visiting any location.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer of Car Wash Finder shall not be held liable for:
- Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the App
- Any user-generated content submitted through the App
- Any inaccuracies in location data, business information, or community reviews
- Any issues arising from third-party services integrated into the App
Use of the App is entirely at the user's own risk.
11. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
