The Carter Education Foundation was created in honor of Henry Lee and Judy Carter to support access to post-secondary education for students in Orange County, Virginia. Henry and Judy were both greatly involved in their community for many years, and they always prioritized making quality educational opportunities accessible. Though they supported and encouraged all students in their individual endeavors, they worked very hard to ensure that students who were seeking alternative educations had the same options and support as those who sought traditional four year degrees. In an effort to continue their legacy, Henry and Judy’s five children pledge to carry on their parents’ beliefs in the importance of education through this scholarship fund.
