Assistance Fee Notice
Carryn’s Cakes charges a ₱120 assistance fee for coordinating third-party delivery bookings. This is a paid service and not provided out of courtesy.
Customer Recommendation
While we offer paid assistance for booking third-party delivery services, Carryn’s Cakes highly recommends that customers handle their own pickup or booking through delivery apps like Lalamove, Maxim, or Grab.
Booking your own delivery offers several advantages:
Real-time tracking of your order via your own app of choice
Direct communication with the assigned driver
Full control of pickup time and delivery preferences
Access to scheduled booking features — you can book a pickup for a future date or time
Minimizes risk of miscommunication or delays
Gives you real-time update of the delivery process
WAIVER
By paying the booking assistance fee, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. Delivery Assistance Only
Carryn’s Cakes does not offer direct delivery services. We may assist in booking a third-party delivery service (e.g., Lalamove or Grab) for a fee of ₱120, but this assistance is not included in the cake quotation.
2. Separate Payment Requirements
Orders must be fully paid upon ordering. The delivery fee and ₱120 assistance fee are separate and must be paid in full. Failure to settle any amount may result in delays or the order not being dispatched.
3. Delivery Fee Changes & Tips
Delivery rates may change depending on time, weather, and driver availability. Carryn’s Cakes may add a tip (up to ₱100) to speed up the driver matching process; this tip will be shouldered by the customer.
4. Delivery Address Responsibility
The customer is responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. Carryn’s Cakes is not liable for failed deliveries due to incorrect or vague address information.
5. Contact Details & Communication
The customer must provide at least two working contact numbers. The customer agrees to keep communication lines open at the expected delivery time. A tracking link will be provided, and the customer is responsible for:
Monitoring the delivery once the items have been picked up
Communicating with the driver
Ensuring someone is ready to receive the order
Carryn’s Cakes is not responsible for missed deliveries, delays, or fees from Lalamove or other couriers due to the recipient being uncontactable or unavailable.
6. Direct Dealings with the Driver
Carryn’s Cakes is not responsible for any interactions between the customer and the assigned driver once the delivery has been booked. Drivers from Lalamove or other delivery platforms are third-party service providers and are not affiliated with Carryn’s Cakes.
If we use our Lalamove wallet to book the delivery, the driver is notified that payment has already been made. Should a driver request payment upon arrival despite this, it is the customer’s responsibility to decline and report the matter directly to Lalamove. Carryn’s Cakes is not liable for misunderstandings, misconduct, or any disputes between the customer and the driver after dispatch.
7. No Guaranteed Delivery Time
Delivery ETAs are not guaranteed and may be affected by weather, traffic, or app delays. Customers are advised to plan with ample buffer time.
8. Proof of Cake Condition Before Dispatch
A photo of the cake and complete order will be taken before release to the driver. This photo serves as proof of quality and completeness at the time of dispatch.
9. Customer Responsibility After Dispatch
Once the cake and items leave our baking area, full responsibility transfers to the customer and the third-party courier. Carryn’s Cakes is not liable for damage, mishandling, or delays in transit. The driver becomes solely accountable for the order once it is picked up from our location.
10. No Refunds / Replacements for Delivery Issues or Missing Items
Carryn’s Cakes will not issue refunds or replacements for items that arrive late, damaged, or are not received due to delivery issues.
If there are missing components in the order that were clearly shown in the proof photo, Carryn’s Cakes is not responsible for their loss during delivery.
11. Driver Availability Not Guaranteed
Delivery assistance does not guarantee driver availability. In some cases, no drivers may be matched due to high demand, poor weather, or delivery location.
Carryn’s Cakes will inform the customer if the search fails and the ₱120 assistance fee will be fully refunded. In such cases, the customer is responsible for picking up their order from our location.
