Shores

If my mother were a shore

I could wash against her

like a jellyfish cast away by the waves,

giant algae yanked out of the opaque,

naked under the metallic sun

frightening hair all tangled up in broken shells

fragment of glass

bottles

thrown into the sea like cries of help
