Take Action

Our tax system is long overdue for reform and overhaul. But Robin Hood in reverse robbing the poor and middle class to give to the rich and defund critical government programs is not the way to go. Once again, it's time for action.

Don't give up by thinking that our Mass senators and reps are already lined up. Remind our elected officials.

Also, reach out to your friends and relatives in other states to help them understand the consequences and urge them to call their elected officials!

A disturbing and telling set of graphs from the New York Times

A well-known team of inequality researchers — Thomas Piketty, Emmanuel Saez, and Gabriel Zucman — has been getting some attention recently for a chart the team produced. The chart shows the change in income between 1980 and 2014 for every point on the income percentile range, and it neatly summarizes the recent soaring of inequality.

Most Americans would look at these charts and conclude that inequality is out of control. The President, on the other hand, seems to think that inequality isn’t broad enough.
