Two François Levrat goldsmith metal plated coasters XIX century
goldsmith's hallmark and plating hallmark
François LEVRAT, active from 1809, was a goldsmith and plater in Paris, associated with Papinaud in 1810 and based at 66 rue Popincourt. During the Exposition des Produits de l'Industrie (which foreshadowed the Universal Exhibitions) in 1819 and 1823, he won the silver medal for silver plating. He was still listed in the Almanach du Commerce in 1825. His son succeeded him in 1827.
