Hola! Hi! Χαίρετε! Ciao! Hej! I am Carles Checa and (since September 2024) I am a postdoc in the University of Copenhagen, under the supervision of Elisenda Feliu. Our work is funded by the ERC consolidator grant “Signs, polynomials, and reaction networks” (POSALG-101044561), with PI Elisenda Feliu.

I defended my PhD in the NKUA (supervised by Ioannis Emiris) on June 2024.

I work in the field of Applied Algebraic Geometry. My research has centered around the understanding of structured polynomial systems in applications and the design of effective algorithms, using tools from toric geometry and commutative algebra.
