Hello :)

My name is CHEN Ying, Carina. I am currently a Research Assistant (2026-) at the lab of Prof. Maggie Ziyin Mai, at Department of Linguistics and Modern Languages at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK).

Before coming to CUHK, I completed my Master of Education (2023-2026) and Bachelor of Arts (2019-2023) at the Institute for International Students, Nanjing University (NJU), supervised by Prof. Xianwen CAO. I studied Chinese as a second language, education and linguistics.

My research interests are in second language acquisition, bilingualism and language assessment. I am a trilingual of Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.
