AI Diagnosis Messages:
When you use the AI diagnosis or chat features, we collect the text messages, vehicle issue descriptions, and related diagnostic information you provide.
Photos You Attach:
If you choose to add or upload a photo for AI diagnosis, the photo is used to help analyze the vehicle issue. We only access photos that you actively select or capture for use in the app.
Device and Usage Information:
We may collect anonymous or technical information such as device model, operating system version, app version, platform, general usage metrics, crash logs, and performance data. This information is used to improve app stability, performance, and user experience.
Subscription and Purchase Data:
Payments and subscriptions are securely handled by Apple or Google. We only receive transaction status and subscription confirmation information. We do not collect or store payment card numbers, billing addresses, or other personal billing details.
Local App Data:
Vehicle records, fuel logs, maintenance records, and diagnostic history may be stored locally on your device. Some of this information may be included in an AI diagnosis request only when you choose to use the AI diagnosis feature.

- Directly from you when you enter vehicle details, symptoms, messages, or diagnostic information.
- From photos you choose to attach or capture for AI diagnosis.
- Automatically through technical logs, app usage data, crash reports, and device information.
- From Apple or Google when they provide subscription or purchase confirmation.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Provide AI-generated vehicle diagnosis, repair suggestions, and maintenance recommendations.
- Analyze vehicle symptoms, issue descriptions, and attached photos.
- Maintain and improve app performance, reliability, and user experience.
- Manage subscription access and premium features.

4. AI Service and Third-Party Data Sharing
CarFix - AI uses third-party AI services to generate vehicle diagnostic responses.
When you use the AI diagnosis or chat features, your vehicle details, issue description, chat messages, and any photo you attach may be sent to our servers and shared with OpenAI, our AI service provider, to generate diagnostic analysis and recommendations.
Before sending this data for AI diagnosis, the app asks for your permission. If you do not agree, the AI diagnosis request will not be sent.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We only share data with third-party service providers when necessary to operate the app, provide AI diagnosis, process subscriptions, improve reliability, or support technical functionality.
Third-party providers are expected to protect data with the same or an equivalent level of privacy and security protection.
5. Analytics and Technical Services
We may use trusted third-party services for analytics, crash reporting, app performance monitoring, subscription management, and AI functionality. These services may process limited technical or usage data only as needed to provide their services.
6. Camera and Photo Library Access
CarFix - AI may request camera or photo library access only when you choose to take or attach a photo for vehicle diagnosis or related app features.
The app does not access your camera or photo library unless you grant permission through your device settings and actively choose to use those features.
7. Data Retention
Data stored locally on your device remains on your device unless you delete the app, clear the data, or choose to include that data in an AI diagnosis request.
Data sent for AI diagnosis is used to generate the requested response and may be retained only as necessary for technical operation, security, support, legal compliance, or service improvement.
