If you want to wow your friends and family before they even open their gift, you’re in the right spot. Here’s your Carey Clipper Guide to Cool & Creative Wrapping Ideas to use this holiday season!
Grab your favorite markers and some paper, and practice your calligraphy! Once you’ve mastered your signature font, get in the Christmas spirit. Write jolly phrases such as “Let It Snow”, “Merry and Bright”, “We Wish You A Merry Christmas”, as you wish all over the paper. Let it dry and wrap up the present!
During this time of year, we’re always seeing friends and family bring over bakery boxes filled with cookies, cakes, and other desserts. But have you ever noticed the delicate red and white string keeping the box together? We did! Don’t be shy to upcycle the string and add a little holiday accent to your presents this season. Not only is it nice to look at, but the red and white theme makes it that much better. Wrap it and tie it in a bow, and you’re set.
Go outside! Take a look at the aspects of nature that come along with the winter season here in New York. What do you see? Collect items such as evergreen sprig, pinecones, and other greenery to add as decorative pieces to your wrapping. Nothing a little hot glue can’t do.
Stickers and stamps are other things that can be found in the home or at a store near you. Look for festive sticker books and stamp sets to apply to paper. Decorate as you wish and get to wrapping!
We can easily find lace ribbon in the home, or at a local store. Select your favorite color and get to lacing it up. Lace provides this elegant element to a present which is not only good for the holiday season but birthdays and other events as well! Wrap the corners, the sides, create a bow, or combine them all for an eye-catching look.
Everyone loves to make snowflakes! Find some standard printer paper and fold a sheet into four. Cut around as you please and unfold for the finished product. Once you’ve created a few snowflakes, you can glue them together at the center for a three-dimensional bow effect. Cool, right?
