On the 12th day of Clipper, your Editors-in-Chief are here to give our writers, staff, and audience a special thanks. 2020 has been an unprecedented year filled with challenges and setbacks, but we have finally made it through. As we look back on this year, we have noticed that we have accomplished a lot. We transformed our newspaper from print to digital in only 5 days after the closure of schools in March. Since then, our newspaper has continued to thrive as each issue rolls ahead. This would not be possible without the dedicated team of staff we are privileged to work with. Our staff members have volunteered 7 days a week to edit and place articles, keep the social media going, and much more. The writers of the Carey Clipper are hardworking, intelligent and creative. Together, we have been able to publish articles from a multitude of topics. Our writers took on the challenge of keeping our newspaper running during a pandemic and we would not be able to produce issues without them. To our audience, we say thank you for following us on social media and reading our articles. To those who participated in our 12 Days of Clipper Holiday Game, the winners are Emily Blattberg (12th Grade), Gianna Montante (12th Grade), and Marisa Tavernese (10th Grade). Thank you to everyone who participated!
This holiday season was tremendously different from years before but one thing that stayed the same was the love and joy of the holidays. We couldn’t do the usual big celebrations this year but the little things we did that created smiles on everyone's faces are better than any presents we could ever receive. During these unimaginable months, we have all stuck together and we couldn’t be any more thankful for our writers, readers, and editors. With that being said, Happy Holidays from the Carey Clipper family. We hope you enjoy this holiday season and wear a mask to keep you and your family safe. See you in 2021. :)
Love,
Your Editor in Chief's: Hadiqa Sandhu and Vincent Tavernese
