CENTERS FOR DISEASE CONTROL
Geographic search tool from the federal Administration for Community Living’s Administration on Aging that reports back information about services for older adults and their families based on searches by ZIP code or city/state.
This set of resources has links to more than 500 entries, which can be sorted and filtered by topic, resource type (e.g., checklists, videos, short text entries, longer text articles), and other criteria. Some resources are available in languages other than English, including Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, and Tagalog.
Savvy Caregiver Program. Community-based training program (12 hours, in 2-hour sessions for 6 weeks) designed to help caregivers of those with dementia fill their role more effectively. AARP initiative has training videos for caregivers and links to other resources
This page from the Medicaid website describes how caregiver of loved ones may find it possible to be paid to provide this service under a Medicaid-funded consumer directed personal care assistance program. “Consumer directed” means the care recipient, to an extent, can choose his / her caregiver including, in some cases, friends and relatives.
This online site from the federal Medicare program allows zip-code based searches for various types of health providers for older adults, including doctors, hospitals, nursing homes, home health services, hospice, rehab facilities, and others.

US Department of Veterans Affairs Caregiver Support Programs
Resources and support for those who provide personal care services to a veteran enrolled in VA health care This includes a downloadable 5-page PDF with general resources for caregivers of veterans, and a caregivers' page with links to more than a dozen resources. Also, this downloadable fact sheet (5 page PDF) has information about the Program of General Caregiver Support Services (PGCSS) and how caregivers can participate.
