Pearl Pentacle: The Selkie's Tale

Listen to the calling of the sea. As the waves ebb and flow, the tides rising and falling, so does our pain, so does our grief, so does our laughter, so does our joy. Rising and falling: the tides of life. Dancing with the current, and with our selkie allies, we swirl within the Pearl, re-discovering Love - Knowledge - Wisdom - Law - Liberation.

Join Alex Spurlock, Ember Woodland, and James Poppy as we learn the magic of the Pearl Pentacle through the Selkie’s Tale. Pearl Pentacle is a core class in the Reclaiming Tradition of Witchcraft, which comes to us from the Anderson Feri tradition of Witchcraft.

As a prerequisite for this class, you must have taken a Reclaiming Elements of Magic core class. Each core class and teaching team presents the material in a unique way while maintaining the core teachings of our tradition.

Facilitators

Alex Spurlock (she/they)

Alex is a queer, disabled Reclaiming witch, teacher, initiate, and organizer. They work on a lorekeeping project called Reclaiming’s Spiral Web Podcast and spend as much time as possible exploring the many wonders of the natural world around us. She has a passion for accessibility and adapting magic and teaching witchcraft to online spaces.

Ember Woodland [they/them] (aka Cara Mia)

Originally from Erie lands (Turtle Island), Ember is a queer, neurodivergent, Pagan Witch. They’ve been creating online content about modern Paganism and Witchcraft since 2009 (Cara Mia @cutewitch772 on YouTube) and have taught these subjects both in-person and online since approximately 2014 (and 2021 in Reclaiming).

With a theatre arts background, Ember’s magic blends their love of story-telling, meaning-making, and creating ritual. They have been a Ritualist, Path Facilitator, Tech Witch, and Organizer at various Reclaiming Witchcamps, in-person and online. They are also the content editor for Reclaiming's Spiral Web Podcast.

James Poppy (he/him)

James (he/him) is a queer identified Reclaiming witch, organizer and teacher. I have been working in online settings for almost a decade and I pride myself on being able to make authentic energetic connections, communication and magic in a new and exciting format. Currently I live in Dena’ina Ełnena, the traditional homeland of the Dena’ina Athabascan people; Anchorage, Alaska.
