Cara Gutierrez is a Filipino-American actress and mezzo-soprano celebrated for her expressive, authentic presence and angelic vocal tone. She starred as the principal Kim in Miss Saigon (World Theater Productions), earning praise for her raw emotional delivery and “gentle strength” that moved even longtime fans of the show. Even early in her career, Cara is already making waves internationally, with callbacks for lead roles such as Eponine (Les Misérables), Eliza (Hamilton), and Jasmine (Aladdin) in Broadway, NYC, and London/Tour productions.
Trained by some of the world’s most esteemed coaches, Cara has studied in London with Louise Young, one of the UK’s leading vocal coaches, and completed specialized short courses at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
A Merit Scholar at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (Class of 2025) and cum laude graduate in Information Technology Entrepreneurship from Ateneo de Manila University, Cara’s dedication to her craft has been recognized internationally. Most recently, she was a featured soloist at the British Embassy Manila’s Great British Festival (2026). Driven by a love for emotionally honest storytelling, her performances combine technical skill, heart, and unmistakable stage presence.
