Privacy Policy for Capzicum Effective Date: December 31, 2025
Capzicum ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy describes how the Capzicum browser extension handles your data.
1. No Data Collection We do not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data. Capzicum operates entirely on your device (client-side). We do not have servers that store your information.
2. Local Storage Your shopping lists, flagged ingredient history, and retailer preferences are stored locally on your computer using Chrome's Local Storage API (chrome.storage.local). This data never leaves your browser.
3. Browsing History We do not track your browsing history. The extension uses the "activeTab" permission solely to scan the text of the specific page you are viewing when you click the extension icon or highlight text.
4. Contact If you have questions about this policy, please contact us via the Chrome Web Store support tab.
