These Terms of Service govern your use of CaptureDeck.
By downloading, installing or using CaptureDeck, you agree to these Terms.
CaptureDeck is a Meta Quest media editing application that allows users to work with video and audio stored on their device.
Features may include video trimming, multi-clip editing, text overlays, creator branding, audio controls, background music, format conversion, quality presets, media management, exporting and sharing.
When you purchase or download CaptureDeck, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use the application in accordance with these Terms and applicable Meta platform rules.
You do not acquire ownership of CaptureDeck's software, branding or intellectual property.
You retain ownership of the videos, audio, text and other content you use with CaptureDeck.
CaptureDeck Technologies does not claim ownership of content you create or edit using CaptureDeck.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights or permissions to use any video, music, images, branding or other material included in your projects.
CaptureDeck allows users to select their own media, including background music.
The availability of this feature does not grant you rights to copyrighted material.
You are responsible for complying with copyright law and the rules of any platform to which you upload or share your finished content.
CaptureDeck Technologies is not responsible for copyright claims, removals, account penalties or other consequences resulting from content selected or published by a user.
CaptureDeck primarily processes and stores editing information locally on your headset.
You are responsible for maintaining backups of important recordings and exported content.
Deleting source media, resetting your headset, uninstalling CaptureDeck or modifying device storage may make saved projects unavailable.
CaptureDeck attempts to process and export media according to the settings you select.
However, media encoding depends on factors including source files, available storage, device resources, codec support and operating-system behaviour.
CaptureDeck Technologies does not guarantee that every media file will be compatible or that every export will complete successfully.
You should retain your original recordings until you have confirmed that an exported file works correctly.
CaptureDeck is provided "as is" and "as available".
While reasonable efforts are made to provide a stable and reliable application, CaptureDeck Technologies does not guarantee that the software will always be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every future Meta Horizon OS update, headset configuration or media format.
You are responsible for:
Your Meta Quest device
Your recordings and other media
Maintaining sufficient storage space
Reviewing exported files before deleting originals
Choosing appropriate sharing destinations
CaptureDeck Technologies is not responsible for loss of media caused by device failure, user deletion, operating-system changes or circumstances outside CaptureDeck's reasonable control.
CaptureDeck may use your device's system sharing functionality.
Third-party applications and services available through that interface operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
CaptureDeck Technologies is not responsible for third-party platforms or services.
Purchases of CaptureDeck are processed through the platform from which the application was obtained.
Payment, billing and refund eligibility are therefore subject to the applicable Meta Horizon Store terms and refund policies.
CaptureDeck Technologies does not directly process your payment information.
You may not use CaptureDeck to:
Violate applicable law
Infringe another person's intellectual property rights
Distribute unlawful content
Attempt to reverse engineer or redistribute CaptureDeck except where applicable law expressly permits it
Interfere with or intentionally damage the application
CaptureDeck may receive updates that add, modify or remove functionality.
Features may change when necessary for performance, security, compatibility or platform requirements.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CaptureDeck Technologies will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses resulting from your use or inability to use CaptureDeck, including loss of recordings, projects, exports or other media.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
You may stop using CaptureDeck at any time.
Your right to use CaptureDeck may be terminated if you materially violate these Terms, subject to applicable law and platform requirements.
These Terms may be updated when CaptureDeck changes or when required for legal, regulatory or platform compliance.
The latest version will be available through CaptureDeck's official Terms of Service page.
