CaptureDeck Technologies respects your privacy. CaptureDeck is designed to process your media locally on your Meta Quest headset and does not require you to create an account.
CaptureDeck may request access to media stored on your device so that you can:
View and select Quest video recordings
Trim and edit recordings
Add multiple recordings to Creator Studio projects
Select audio files for background music
Save exported videos
Share exported videos using your device's system sharing features
This access is used only to provide the features you choose to use.
CaptureDeck does not collect, transmit, sell or share your personal data with CaptureDeck Technologies.
CaptureDeck does not operate its own user accounts, analytics system, advertising system or cloud storage service.
Your videos, audio files, project information and exported content are processed locally on your headset.
CaptureDeck may store information locally on your device, including:
Saved editing projects
Creator Studio drafts
Clip order and trim settings
Text and branding settings
Audio volume settings
Background music references
Export preferences
This information is stored to allow you to continue your work after closing or restarting the app.
CaptureDeck does not upload this project information to CaptureDeck Technologies.
Your original videos and audio files remain on your device unless you choose to delete, move or share them.
When CaptureDeck creates an exported video, the finished file may be saved to your device's media storage, such as the Movies/CaptureDeck folder.
CaptureDeck can open the Meta Horizon OS / Android system share interface.
When you choose to share a file, the destination you select may process that file according to its own privacy policy. CaptureDeck Technologies does not control third-party applications or services selected through the system share menu.
CaptureDeck may request permissions necessary to access videos, images, audio or device storage.
Permissions are used only to enable the related CaptureDeck functionality.
You can manage application permissions through your device settings.
CaptureDeck relies on operating-system and platform functionality provided by Meta Horizon OS and Android.
Meta and other third-party services may independently collect information according to their own privacy policies. CaptureDeck Technologies does not control that collection.
CaptureDeck does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because CaptureDeck does not operate accounts or collect personal information through its own servers, it does not maintain profiles of child users.
Users must meet any applicable Meta account, Meta Horizon Store and local age requirements.
CaptureDeck is designed around local processing to minimise the amount of information transferred away from your headset.
You remain responsible for protecting access to your device and any media stored on it.
This Privacy Policy may be updated when CaptureDeck's functionality or legal requirements change.
