Thank you for using Captions Generator ("the App"). Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed, how it is used, and when it is shared.
The App allows you to generate captions from audio extracted from media that you select.
To provide this feature, the App processes only the audio extracted from your selected media. Before any audio is transmitted for AI processing, the App informs you that the extracted audio will be sent to a third-party AI service and requests your consent.
We do not permanently store or retain your extracted audio on our servers.
To generate captions and transcriptions, the App securely transmits the extracted audio to OpenAI for processing.
The extracted audio is sent solely for the purpose of generating captions or transcriptions requested by you.
We do not use your audio for advertising, marketing, profiling, or any unrelated purpose.
The third-party AI provider processes the audio according to its own privacy practices and provides privacy protections for the data it processes.
To operate and improve the App, we may collect limited technical information, including:
Device type
Operating system version
App version
Anonymous crash reports (if enabled)
Anonymous analytics (if enabled)
This information does not include the contents of your extracted audio.
Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed securely through Apple's App Store.
We do not collect, process, or store your payment information.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect data transmitted between the App and our trusted service providers.
Caption generation is optional. If you choose not to grant permission for AI processing, your extracted audio will not be transmitted to the third-party AI service, and caption generation will not be performed.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted with an updated Effective Date.
