HitoStudio provides CapLive and is responsible for the personal data processing described in this Policy. For privacy questions or support, contact hito211220@gmail.com.
Sections concerning advertising, in-app purchases, Firebase, and mediation apply when those services are enabled in the version you use. Availability may vary by version, region, and privacy choices.
1. Scope and on-device processing
This Policy explains how data is processed when you use CapLive. Websites you visit and third-party services also have their own privacy policies governing their activities.
CapLive's speech recognition and translation features process audio and subtitle text on your device using downloaded models. This processing pipeline does not send your audio or subtitles to our remote speech recognition or translation servers.
On-device subtitle processing does not mean that the entire application operates without transmitting data. Browsing, model downloads, advertising, purchases, and enabled third-party services may involve network requests and data processing by other providers.
2. Data used by core features
- Playing audio, recognized text, and translations: processed on your device to display subtitles. The current processing pipeline does not upload this content to a remote recognition or translation service.
- Browsing history, page titles, bookmarks, tabs, and preferences: stored on your device to operate the browser and remember your choices.
- Cookies, website storage, and cache: handled by Android WebView and websites to maintain sessions, support sign-in, and load content. Websites may receive data under their own policies.
- Language models and filter lists: downloaded from content providers. Download servers may receive your IP address and network request information.
- Downloaded files: saved to your chosen location or the device's downloads directory. Files outside application storage may remain after uninstallation.
- Support correspondence: if you email us, we receive your email address and the information you provide to respond to your request. Do not send passwords or full payment details.
Download sources include GitHub, Hugging Face, and filter-list providers. See the GitHub Privacy Statement: https://docs.github.com/en/site-policy/privacy-policies/github-general-privacy-statement, Hugging Face Privacy Policy: https://huggingface.co/privacy, and eyeo Privacy Policy: https://eyeo.com/privacy for relevant provider information.
Android may back up or transfer CapLive data according to your device and backup-account settings. The current application allows system backup. Locally stored data may therefore be included in a backup rather than remaining exclusively on one device.
3. Advertising
CapLive may display advertisements from Unity Ads, Meta Audience Network, and AppLovin. When enabled, advertising SDKs may process IP addresses, advertising or application/device identifiers, operating system information, language, network information, advertising interactions, and diagnostics. An IP address may be used to infer approximate location; this does not mean that CapLive requests GPS location permission.
This information supports ad delivery, frequency limits, impression and click measurement, effectiveness reporting, and fraud prevention. Some partners also use data to personalize and improve their advertising services, subject to their policies, permissions, and applicable law.
Personalized advertising may be provided where permitted and consistent with your choices. Non-personalized advertisements may still require technical data for delivery, frequency limits, or fraud prevention.
CapLive does not use your audio, subtitle content, or translations to target advertisements. Website ad blocking is a separate feature and does not mean that CapLive or the websites you visit perform no data processing.
4. Advertising mediation and partners
Mediation selects advertisements from multiple sources. Mediation services and integrated networks may receive ad-request data, permitted identifiers, IP addresses, device information, privacy-choice signals, interactions, and diagnostics for bidding, delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention.
Our disclosed advertising partners are:
- Unity Ads: advertising delivery and measurement. Unity Game Player and App User Privacy Policy: https://unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy.
- Meta Audience Network: advertising through Meta's advertising network. Meta Privacy Policy: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/.
- AppLovin: advertising services and delivery or measurement support, depending on the integration. AppLovin and its partners may collect, process, and share personal data for interest-based advertising and to improve advertising technology. AppLovin Privacy Policy: https://legal.applovin.com/privacy/.
Not every network receives every request. Some partners process information for their own purposes under their privacy policies. Data disclosures depend on the active service, privacy choices, and legal requirements. Measurement partners used by these providers may also process data to verify impressions and advertising effectiveness under their respective policies.
5. Firebase services and push notifications
CapLive may use the following Google services:
- Google Analytics for Firebase: records usage events, sessions, application/device information, and installation identifiers to understand usage and improve features. Purchase or notification interaction events may be recorded depending on configuration.
- Firebase Crashlytics: processes crash reports, stack traces, operating system and application versions, application state, and related installation identifiers to identify and resolve errors.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): uses installation identifiers and notification registration tokens to route messages to the application, such as feature announcements, service updates, or offers where permitted. Notification interactions may be measured through Analytics when enabled.
We do not intentionally include audio, verbatim subtitles, translations, cookies, passwords, or browsing history in Firebase events for analytics or advertising.
You can disable notifications in Android Settings → Apps → CapLive → Notifications. Disabling notification display does not automatically delete the FCM token or disable Analytics or Crashlytics. To request deletion of related data, contact us as described in Section 8. Notification permission does not replace separate consent for analytics or advertising where required.
See Firebase's privacy information: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy and Firebase's SDK data disclosures: firebase.google.com/docs/android/play-data-disclosure.
6. In-app purchases
When purchases are available, Google Play processes payments. CapLive may receive product identifiers, order references or purchase tokens, payment status, subscription status, and entitlements to verify purchases, grant or restore features, support refunds, and prevent fraud. CapLive does not directly receive your full payment card number or card security code.
Transaction information is processed within the application's purchase flow and Google Play to verify entitlements. We do not use purchase tokens for advertising targeting. See the Google Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy for information about Google's services.
Purchasing an ad-removal product does not automatically erase previously processed data or disable Firebase. Purchase benefits and privacy choices are described separately.
7. Purposes, legal bases, and recipients
We process data as necessary to provide requested features, manage purchases, respond to support requests, and protect the service. Where required by law, optional analytics or personalized advertising rely on consent. Where appropriate, security, fraud prevention, and troubleshooting may rely on legitimate interests after considering your rights. Legally required records are processed to comply with legal obligations.
Recipients may include the listed advertising and mediation providers, Google/Firebase when enabled, Google Play, providers handling support correspondence, and competent authorities where a valid legal obligation requires disclosure. Websites you visit receive requests directly from the browser.
Under some laws, disclosing identifiers for advertising may constitute a "sale," "sharing," or targeted advertising even when no money is exchanged for the data. You may contact us to exercise applicable opt-out rights and use the partner privacy choices linked in Section 4.
8. Your rights and choices
You can manage application permissions through Android, use available browser controls to delete history or browsing data, clear CapLive's data in Android settings, and manage device backups. Deleting local data does not automatically delete transaction records or information already received by providers.
For versions with advertising or analytics, use the privacy controls available in that version or contact us to request changes and receive guidance. Where legally required, optional collection begins only after a valid choice. You may withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of processing that occurred before withdrawal. Android also provides advertising identifier controls.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of or port your data, restrict or object to processing, opt out of targeted advertising or the sale/sharing of personal data, and complain to a data protection authority.
Send requests to hito211220@gmail.com. We may need limited information to verify and locate your request and will respond within applicable legal deadlines. Do not send sensitive identity documents unless requested through an appropriate channel.
9. Retention and deletion
Local data is retained according to the feature, your deletion choices, and Android storage and backup behavior. Bookmarks, preferences, and downloaded models may remain until you delete them or clear application data. Files exported or downloaded to shared storage and backup copies must be managed separately.
Analytics data is retained for the period needed to evaluate usage and improve the product, within the retention limits configured for Google Analytics. Aggregated information may be retained longer if it no longer identifies individuals. Contact us for information about applicable retention or to request deletion.
According to Firebase's disclosures at the time this Policy was updated, Crashlytics retains crash reports and associated identifiers for 90 days before starting removal from live and backup systems. Firebase installation IDs used for FCM are retained until deletion is requested through the applicable API; removal from live and backup systems may then take up to 180 days. See Firebase's retention information: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Advertising partners retain information under their policies linked in Section 4. Support records are retained while addressing the request and following up on related issues. Transaction records are retained while needed to verify entitlements, handle refunds or disputes, or meet legal obligations. Mandatory retention exceptions may continue after a deletion request.
We do not retain information longer than needed for the disclosed purposes unless legally required. Where a lawful exception limits deletion, we will explain the applicable scope.
10. Security and international processing
We use safeguards appropriate to the information and services involved, but no system is completely secure. Websites you visit may use unencrypted HTTP. Supporting access to a website is not a promise that every connection is encrypted.
International providers may process data outside your country. Applicable transfer safeguards and provider contractual protections are used where required by law. Contact hito211220@gmail.com for information about recipients and relevant transfer arrangements.
11. Children's privacy
We do not knowingly collect children's personal information in violation of applicable law. Where parental or guardian consent is required for processing, that processing must have a valid basis. Children's information must not be used for personalized advertising contrary to applicable requirements.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child provided information without required permission, contact hito211220@gmail.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion where necessary.
12. Policy changes and contact
We update this Policy when our data practices change, including when adding SDKs or partners. Material changes will be communicated through the application or the page where this Policy is published. We will request new consent where required and update the date at the top of the Policy.
