Establishment of the Professional Association of Ranger Trainers (PART)

Description of the Presentation and discussion:

The Professional Association of Ranger Trainers (PART) is in the process of being established and would use this session to connect with trainers and illuminate the purpose of PART to possible members. It aims to provide a forum for trainers to talk about challenges and opportunities in ranger training, as well as discuss relevant information gathered during the congress.

The session will include a presentation on what PART aims to do, its effect and impact. PART will also discuss support services that would be made available to trainers internationally, inclusive of training setup, networking, rapid response capability aimed at conflict resolution and supporting the legality, sustainability, safety as well as relevance of training interventions. The target audience is trainers and protected area managers.
