Funding and capacity building for early-career conservationists

Description of the Presentation and discussion:

Conservation leadership Programme awards project funding and capacity building to early-career conservationists – a short presentation and tips to writing a good proposal. After a small presentation about the CLP, participants can ask us directly about the kinds of projects supported with funding of $15,000-$50,000. Furthermore, we will engage the participants by splitting them into 2 groups and give them around 10-15 minutes to answer the question ‘what makes a good proposal?’. In this way, the participants will have an opportunity to network as well as sharing their knowledge. At the end of this exercise, we would be giving them Top Tips for writing a good proposal. This will also be an opportunity to ask about our guidelines, and applications selection process.

We hope that via this interaction, participants will become more familiar with our programme but also more confident in applying for grants in the future.
