This session will present the approach and tools developed in the Mediterranean to create a market orientated ecotourism offer in Protected Areas, and the use of the ecological footprint
methodology for managing its impacts. The event will present and showcase practical methods and tools for users, and the free online training that is available to learn about them, developed under the DestiMED/DestiMED Plus Interreg Med projects and the MEET Network. The session will reflect on the experiences of DestiMED/MEET in developing capacities amongst ecotourism stakeholders in protected area destinations and open a discussion with participants.
