The Project and the 180 Day Playbook

(The plan for the first 180 days of “the next conservative administration”)

From the Project 2025 Web Site and the Project’s book Mandate For Leadership:

Project 2025 is a comprehensive plan for an extreme right wing conservative takeover of the government of the United States. It vilifies progressives and Marxist enemies of the nation. In the words of the Project’s Web Site: “The 2025 Presidential Transition Project paves the way for an effective conservative Administration based on four pillars: a policy agenda, Presidential Personnel Database, Presidential Administration Academy, and playbook for the first 180 days of the next Administration.”

Pillar One: Policy Agenda

Pillar I—this volume—puts in one place a consensus view of how major federal agencies must be governed and where disagreement exists brackets out these differences for the next President to choose a path. 

Pillar Two: Presidential Personnel Database

Pillar II is a personnel database that allows candidates to build their own professional profiles and our coalition members to review and voice their recommendations. These recommendations will then be collated and shared with the President-elect’s team, greatly streamlining the appointment process. 

Pillar Three: Presidential Administration Academy

Pillar III is the Presidential Administration Academy, an online educational system taught by experts from our coalition. For the newcomer, this will explain how the government functions and how to function in government. For the experienced, we will host in-person seminars with advanced training and set the bar for what is expected of senior leadership.

Pillar Four: 180 Day Playbook

In Pillar IV—the Playbook—we are forming agency teams and drafting transition plans to move out upon the President’s utterance of “so help me God.” 

In short, Project 2025 will establish a conservative body of policies that all of its elected officials will work to implement, including using the military under the control of the President Donald Trump to take over law enforcement duties to control the American public, doing away with reproductive rights, including contraception, rolling back civil rights gains for people of color, non-Christian religions, and LGBTQ+ citizens and weakening the separation of church (Christian) and state. It will train potential candidates and potential political operatives at all levels of government on how to get elected or appointed and implement the policies of the extreme right sponsors of the Project, and it will keep a database of loyalists from which political leaders can choose appointees for countless positions in government service, and from which local, state, and federal conservatives can choose candidates to run for office. It will start the government takeover with a plan to make radical changes in the first 180 days of the Trump Administration, in the Administrative, Congressional, and Judicial policies and practices in every way that can be done quickly under a conservative president, with the aid of conservatives in Congress and the Judiciary. Project 2025 intends to decimate all progressive successes of the past 100 years and facilitate total and permanent conservative, Republican control of the United States Government.
