Canvasly is a local-first image design and editing app. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the ad-supported version of Canvasly.
Before publishing, replace the contact email at the end of this policy with a valid, monitored developer email address. Publish this policy at a public HTTPS URL that does not require sign-in, then use that URL in Google Play Console and in the in-app Privacy Policy entry.
1. Information We Handle
Content You Create or Select
Your projects, template edits, images selected through the Android system photo picker, and exported images are processed and stored on your device. Canvasly does not upload your images, project content, or exported files to our servers.
When you choose Save to Gallery, Canvasly writes the exported image to your device's media library. When you choose Share, Android sends the selected exported file to the app or service you choose. These actions occur only when you initiate them.
Advertising-Related Information
The ad-supported version uses third-party advertising services to display ads. Advertising providers may automatically collect or receive the following information:
• Network information, such as IP address;
• Device and advertising identifiers, such as Android Advertising ID and App Set ID;
• Ad and app interaction information, such as ad impressions, clicks, app launches, and basic usage events;
• Diagnostic and performance information, such as crashes, app performance, and SDK performance data; and
• Approximate location inferred from IP address.
Advertising providers use this information for advertising, measurement, analytics, and fraud prevention. We do not provide your images, projects, or exported content to advertising providers.
2. Third-Party Advertising Services
This policy applies to the ad-supported version that integrates the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob). Google may process advertising-related information under its own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your device settings, region, and applicable law. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings and use Google or device privacy controls to manage ad personalization.
If we enable ad mediation, additional ad networks, or other advertising features, we will update this policy and the Google Play Data safety disclosure before release.
3. Permissions and Local Storage
• Photo selection: Canvasly uses the Android system photo picker and accesses only images that you choose.
• Saving images: Canvasly saves only images that you export to your device's media library. Android 9 and earlier may require storage write permission to complete this action.
• Network: In the ad-supported version, network access is used only to load and display ads and for their necessary security and measurement functions.
Canvasly does not require an account and does not request your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, microphone, or camera permission.
4. Sharing and Security
Except for the advertising providers described in this policy and recipients you choose through the Android share sheet, we do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or local creative content with other third parties.
Advertising providers use measures such as encrypted transmission to protect data between their SDKs and services. No transmission or device storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
5. Retention and Deletion
You control projects, settings, and exported files stored on your device. You can delete projects in the app and delete exported images through your device's gallery. Uninstalling Canvasly removes data stored in the app's private storage. Advertising providers retain and delete data under their own privacy policies.
6. Children's Privacy
Canvasly is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect children's personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app or its advertising services, contact us using the details below.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in features, advertising partners, or legal requirements. We will revise the effective date above and provide notice of material changes in the app or on this page where appropriate.
