The CANSec workshop brings together researchers and practitioners in security and networking related fields in the central area of the US. The goal of the CANSec workshop is to provide a regular forum for presenting research and education activities in all areas related to computer security and networking, as well as promoting interactions and collaborations among scholars and students and between academia and industry. The 14th CANSec workshop will be hosted by the University of Missouri – Columbia on November 13-14, 2021. It will be a one-day workshop plus a one-day cyber defense competition. The workshop includes invited talks, research presentations, industrial panels, and poster sessions. There will be no printed proceedings. We would like to invite researchers, engineers, educators, and students to join us in the sixth event of the series.
We seek submissions presenting research and education activities on all practical and theoretical aspects of networking and security. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

Submissions
For oral presentations, please submit a one-page abstract to cansecworkshop2021@gmail.com using this form by October 15. Notifications of accepted presentations will be sent out by October 29.
Ph.D. Forum
We are organizing a PhD Forum for PhD students to present their research work. Each participant in the PhD Forum will perform a five minute oral presentation to introduce their work. Please submit a one-page abstract to cansecworkshop2021@gmail.com using this form at by October 27. Notifications of accepted presentations will be sent out by November 2.
Cyber-Defense Competition
The goal of the competition is to provide students with a platform to apply theoretical knowledge into practice, and to obtain hands-on cyber security experiences. It is a one-day competition, in which student teams will be asked to oversee a small corporate network, to manage all critical services and to defend against external attacks. Scoring will be primarily based on the availability of the services and how the attacks and injects are handled. To compete, please submit a list of student team member names, along with email addresses, to cansecworkshop2021@gmail.com by October 27.
