Parents have rights to review curriculum

• Minnesota Statute 120B.20 "Each school district shall have a procedure for a parent, guardian, or an adult student, 18 years of age or older, to review the content of the instructional materials to be provided to a minor child or to an adult student and, if the parent, guardian, or adult student objects to the content, to make reasonable arrangements with school personnel for alternative instruction."

  • Grade 3 Reading: 36.1% of students are proficient, which means 62.9% of Cannon Falls Students are not.

  • Grade 11 Math: 36.6% of Cannon Falls Students, are Proficient, and 62.4% are not.

  • Grade 8 Science: 26.9% of Cannon Falls Students, are proficient, and 72.1% of students are not.

Schools, at least annually, must give the parent of each student who is not reading at or above grade level timely information about their proficiency, services, and strategies available.
