Canesten Vaginal Cream 30g (Clotrimazole 20mg), Clotrimazole is used for the treatment of fungal skin infections mainly infections of the vagina, vulva, groin or pe**is along with ringworm, fungal nappy rash and infections of the armpit, toes and skin folds.
Canesten Vaginal Cream (Clotrimazole) should always be used according to your doctor`s instructions and those included with the packaging to get the best results from treatment. The cream is normally prescribed to be administered once daily using the included applicator, but your particular directions will depend on your age, weight, health condition, and the severity of your symptoms. To administer the medicine simply insert the applicator into the vagina and dispense the cream. Thoroughly wash the applicator following each use to prevent contamination. Always ask your doctor or pharmacist any questions you have regarding the medicine to ensure the correct usage.
Clotrimazole acts against the fungi by impairing the permeability of the fungal cell wall and inhibits the activity of enzymes within the cell. It specifically inhibits the biosynthesis of ergosterol and other sterols required for cell membrane production.

· Dry or peeling skin surrounding the area
· Mild redness or itchiness
· Stop using the medication and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any serious side effects or signs of an allergic reaction such as rashes, hives, swelling, or trouble breathing. These conditions may require ower doses, reduced application frequency, or emergency medical attention in serious cases to prevent further health problems from occurring.
Keep out of the reach and sight of children. This product should be stored in the original carton. Do not store above 25°C. Do not use Clotrimazole Pessary after the expiry date which is stated at one end of the carton and on the foil blister strip of the pessary. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month. Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.
