1. INTRODUCTION
This Privacy Policy explains how the Candy Bloom Android application ("Candy Bloom," the "App") accesses, uses, stores, and protects information. Candy Bloom is published by the developer or publisher identified on its Google Play listing (the "Developer," "we," "us," or "our").
Candy Bloom is designed as a private, offline-first daily planner, mood journal, happy-moments collection, and balance tracker. The App does not require an account and does not connect to a Developer-operated server.
2. SCOPE
This Privacy Policy applies to the Candy Bloom Android application. It does not govern third-party applications, websites, cloud storage providers, device manufacturers, operating-system services, or other services that you may choose to use with the App. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
3. PRIVACY AT A GLANCE
- Candy Bloom does not require account registration.
- The App does not request internet access.
- We do not receive your plans, mood entries, notes, moments, photos, rewards, settings, or backup files.
- The App contains no advertising SDK and no analytics SDK.
- We do not sell, rent, or monetize personal information.
- The App stores its working data locally on your device.
For purposes of this Privacy Policy, "collect" means information transmitted off your device to us or to a third party acting on our behalf. Content that you enter and keep only on your device is processed locally by the App but is not collected by the Developer.
4. INFORMATION PROCESSED LOCALLY
Candy Bloom may process and store the following information locally when you choose to provide it:
a. Daily planning information
Dates, plan notes, activity titles, activity categories, scheduled times, completion status, ordering, and related timestamps.
b. Mood and reflection information
Selected mood, mood intensity, energy level, contributing factors, private notes, dates, and related history.
c. Happy moments
Moment titles, descriptions, dates, categories, favorite status, and a reference to an optional photo that you select.
d. Personal rewards and balance information
Reward names, descriptions, targets, progress, completion information, and locally calculated summaries based on your entries.
e. App preferences
Onboarding status, theme selection, animation preference, notification settings, reminder choices, first day of the week, and display-unit preferences.
This information is used only to provide the features you request inside the App, such as displaying your plans, calculating progress, showing history, and preparing user-controlled exports.
5. PHOTOS AND THE ANDROID PHOTO PICKER
Adding a photo to a happy moment is optional. Candy Bloom uses Android's system photo picker so that you select a specific image. The App does not request broad access to browse your full photo library.
When you select a photo, Android may grant the App ongoing read access to that selected image. Candy Bloom stores a local reference to the selected image so it can display the image with your moment. The original image remains in the location managed by you or by the selected storage provider. Candy Bloom does not upload the image to us.
If the original image is moved, deleted, or access is revoked, it may no longer appear in the App. Deleting a moment removes the moment record from Candy Bloom but does not delete the original image from your photo library or storage provider.
6. FILE IMPORT AND EXPORT
Candy Bloom lets you create a JSON backup and import a compatible JSON file. These actions use Android's system file picker.
When exporting, you choose where the backup file is saved. When importing, you choose the file the App may read. The Developer does not receive either file. An imported backup may replace existing local records, as explained in the App. Any copy stored outside Candy Bloom is controlled by you and by the storage provider you selected.
Backup files may contain plans, activity details, mood entries, notes, moment metadata, photo references, and reward information. Treat exported files as private and store or share them carefully.
7. NOTIFICATIONS
Notifications are optional and disabled unless you enable them. On supported Android versions, Candy Bloom requests notification permission before showing reminders. Morning and evening reminders are scheduled and generated locally on your device; the App does not use remote push notifications.
You can disable reminders in Candy Bloom or revoke notification permission in Android settings. Notification content may be visible on your lock screen depending on your Android notification settings.
8. HOW INFORMATION IS USED
Locally stored information is used to:
- create, edit, organize, and display your daily plans;
- record and display mood check-ins and personal reflections;
- save, search, filter, and display happy moments;
- calculate local progress, weekly summaries, and reward status;
- apply your theme, animation, unit, and reminder preferences;
- schedule optional on-device reminders;
- create a backup at your request; and
- restore data from a file you select.
We do not use your content for advertising, profiling, model training, or cross-app tracking.
9. SHARING AND DISCLOSURE
Candy Bloom does not transmit your App content to the Developer, advertisers, analytics providers, data brokers, or social networks. We therefore do not share or sell that content.
Information may leave the App only through an action or service outside our control, for example when you export a backup, select a file or photo from a third-party provider, manually share a file, enable an operating-system backup, transfer data to another device, or allow another person to access your unlocked device. The relevant operating-system or third-party provider may process information under its own privacy policy.
We may disclose information if you voluntarily send it to us in a support request. In that case, we will use the information only to respond to the request, protect the App or our rights, comply with applicable law, or investigate abuse. Please do not include sensitive journal content in a support message unless it is necessary.
10. STORAGE, BACKUPS, AND INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Candy Bloom's working records and preferences are stored in the App's private area on your Android device. The Developer does not operate cloud storage for the App and does not transfer App content internationally.
Android or your device manufacturer may provide device backup or device-transfer features. Depending on your device, Android version, account, and backup settings, those system services may include some App data in a backup or transfer. Such processing is performed by the applicable platform or provider, not by the Developer, and is governed by that provider's privacy policy. You can manage device backup settings through Android or your account settings.
11. RETENTION AND DELETION
Local records remain on your device until you delete them, clear the App's storage, or uninstall the App, subject to any separate copies or system backups outside the App.
Candy Bloom provides controls to delete individual entries where available and an in-app "Delete all data" action for plans, mood entries, moments, and rewards. App preferences can be removed by clearing Candy Bloom's storage in Android settings or by uninstalling the App. You can also disable reminders and notification permission separately.
Deleting App records does not delete original photos, exported JSON files, files you shared, or copies retained by an external storage or backup provider. You must delete those copies through the relevant photo, file, backup, or third-party service.
Because the Developer does not receive or hold your local App content, we cannot retrieve or remotely delete it for you.
12. SECURITY
Candy Bloom relies on Android's application sandbox and your device's security controls to protect locally stored information. We limit access by using Android system pickers for selected photos and files and by avoiding unnecessary network access, advertising, and analytics components.
No storage method is completely secure. The security of local information also depends on your device, screen lock, operating-system updates, installed applications, backup settings, and how you handle exported files. We recommend using a secure screen lock, keeping Android updated, and protecting backup files from unauthorized access.
13. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS
You control the information stored in Candy Bloom. You may:
- choose whether to enter any optional information;
- edit or delete entries in the App;
- delete all plans, moods, moments, and rewards through the App;
- clear all App storage through Android settings;
- uninstall the App;
- enable or disable notifications and reminders;
- select only the photos and files you want the App to access; and
- export a copy of supported records in JSON format.
Privacy rights vary by jurisdiction. Since the Developer does not maintain a server-side user account or receive your local App content, requests to access, correct, port, or erase that local content are generally fulfilled directly through the App and Android controls. You may contact us with privacy questions using the method in Section 16.
14. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Candy Bloom is intended for a general audience and is not directed specifically to children under 13 or the minimum age required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App because the App does not transmit user content to us. A parent or guardian who allows a child to use Candy Bloom should supervise the child's device, entries, backups, and notification settings.
15. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to Candy Bloom, legal requirements, or privacy practices. We will revise the "Last updated" date when changes are made. If a change materially affects how the App handles information, we will provide notice through an appropriate channel, such as the App, its Google Play listing, or the published policy page, as applicable.
16. CONTACT US
For privacy questions, requests, or complaints, use the public developer contact method displayed on Candy Bloom's Google Play listing. Please identify Candy Bloom in your message and avoid sending private journal entries, photos, or backup files unless they are necessary to resolve your request.
If a named company or individual publisher and a dedicated privacy email are added to the Google Play listing, the same publisher name and contact details should also be added to this section before publication.
17. PUBLICATION
To satisfy Google Play requirements, publish this Privacy Policy as a clearly labeled, publicly accessible, non-geofenced web page that is not a PDF, and link that page both in Play Console and from within Candy Bloom. Keep the published policy and the Google Play Data safety declaration consistent with the released App version.
