第二回カナダ日本語ビデオコンテスト
Video Work
The submission shall be between 90 sec. to 120 sec. in length. Choose a style such as drama, comedy, group show, commercial, etc. and a format including animation, slideshow, or a short play to best fit your expression. Judges will be assessing on the comprehensibility and enjoyment, your imagination and creativity in the video work.
Please ensure that all, or the majority of the conversation and narration is in Japanese, with English subtitles .
Contestants may create multiple submissions (up to three titles), or a work created by a group. Participation is not limited to students from participating Universities.
Content
Please choose one category from the following list:
- Things of Japan I love
- My way to learn the language
- Welcome to my hometown (or University, class, etc.)
Selection
Submissions will go through a preliminary assessment by the Organizing Committee. Successful candidates will have their work published on the competition's official YouTube channel. The Judge Committee will decide the first and the second prize winners in each category. In addition, two special prizes will be selected based on viewer's vote.

- First Prize (one in each category), $100 gift card
- Second Prize (one in each category), $50 gift card
- Special Prize (two), $30 gift card

Copyright
By submitting an entry to the contest, the author grants permission to the Organizing Committee to publish the video on related websites and social media channels, to screen it for public viewing and promotional purposes.
It is the author's responsibility to ensure that the work does not infringe the rights, including but not limited to, copyright or intellectual property of another person, group or entity. Use of music and visual works from Japan has to obey Canadian copyright law. It is recommended to choose music and images from the Creative Commons (a brief explanation here).
作品
コンテスト参加のビデオ作品は、90秒から120秒までとします。作品のスタイル（ドラマ、コメディ、グループショー、コマーシャル、など）、形式（アニメ、スライドショ－、小芝居、など）は、自由に選んでください。分かりやすいもの、楽しいもの、創意工夫が見られるもの、想像力と表現力に優れたものを審査の対象とします。
ナレーションや会話を用いる場合、全部あるいは大部分を日本語とし、英語字幕を添えてください。
一人で複数の作品（三作品まで）、またはグループによる作品も認めます。参加協力大学に限らず、カナダ在住の学習者ならどなたでも参加できます。

選抜
予選を実施し、実施委員会が候補作を選び、YouTubeチャンネルで公表します。この中から審査委員会がカテゴリー別に優勝作と準優勝作を選びます。なお、視聴者投票による特別賞（二作品）を設けます。

著作権
応募することにより、作者は実施委員会がビデオ作品をインターネットやSNSなどで公開したり、関連行事で上映したりすることを許可したものとします。
応募の際、作品が他の個人・団体・法人等の著作権や知的財産を含むすべての権利を侵害しないよう細心の注意を払ってください 。日本で作られた音楽や映像などの作品からは、カナダの著作権法のフェア・ディーリングの範囲を超えて引用してはいけません。作品に用いる画像や音楽などは、クリエイティブ・コモンズ・ライセンス（日本語による解説動画）をもつデータの使用をお勧めします。
