I'm not sure how the iOS system works in details but if you record a video or take a picture on airplane mode and delete it before turning on airplane mode, would there be a copy of the media saved or stored anywhere (is there a way to retrieve it?) or is it as if you never taken said picture/video?

For example, if I take a short video with my iPhone, it appears a little bit later on the iPad thanks to iCloud synchronization.I can read the video on the iPad, but as soon as I turn airplane mode ON, I can't read it anymore.

Can You Download Youtube Videos For Airplane Mode

My Ring Doorbell does not record motion when my iPhone is off or in Airplane mode. I use my iPhone to record videos for work. I generally put it in airplane mode so that my videos are not cutoff if a call comes through. I have noticed that each time I put my phone in airplane mode, Ring does not capture ANY motion or video during this time. There is a lot of motion (cars, people, etc) on my street during these times so I know it should capture something.

Hi @SRC. The Doorbell will capture events regardless of if your phone is or is not connected to wifi. Have you tried testing this by placing your iPhone in airplane mode, and then triggering a test event on the Doorbell? You can walk in front of it or press the button and it should trigger the Doorbell to start recording.

I have a plane trip coming up so I wanted to download some videos to watch offline. I selected a video on my Dropbox account to be available Offline, and after it finished downloading I tested it by putting my phone into airplane mode and the video does not play offline. It says "No internet connection." It is in my list of Offline files, and it shows a little purple icon next to it showing that it was downloaded, so why can I not play it offline?

The new app format is a bit confusing. How do I find my list of offline files now? I got to them by putting my phone into airplane mode and then a message popped up saying "view offline files." Is that the only way to see what files are offline? The earlier app version had a folder called "Offline."

I downloaded two iTunes movie rentals in anticipation of some long flights. Even though they show as "downloaded" in my TV App I can't access them in flight. With my device in airplane mode all I get is a blank screen when I start the TV App. I've searched internet and I get about 50% respondents saying you can access videos in airplane mode and the rest say no. It should be crystal clear - can I, and if so how do I?

I had the exact same thing happen on my flight. Downloaded several movies but I wasn't able to open the "tv" page, it said cannot connect no wifi. It seems pointless to need connection to watch videos that are already downloaded. It's weird because on one flight I was able to watch videos because I was watching before the plane took off and was able to watch during that flight but on the return flight I tried to watch them after take off and wasn't able to. Do we need to watch them before turning on airplane mode? What is the exact steps we need to do? Please fix this on your next update. I hate that we need connection to watch downloaded videos.

OK, here we go with the good news. I had success and discovered where I messed up, too. I also learned some things, which is always good. First thing I learned is that we can download our mp4 type videos from our NAS or anywhere on our network, and watch them on airplane on our iPad. So, now not sure why you could not do it. Maybe, like me, when I tried, you made a mistake or two as well.

Whether you have one of the best Android phones or the latest iPhone, airplane mode will be relatively the same. It is activated by tapping an airplane symbol in your settings and acts to shut down cellular and other signals from your phone. While there are some particulars to explore below, you will not be sending (or receiving) calls or texts while in airplane mode.

@XfinityBillie, Yes, I have downloaded multiple programs. No, i can't view any of them. The weird thing is, I can view them if I download them on my phone, but not my Samsung Galaxy Tab A. Now, once I'm no longer in airplane mode, it's not an issue.

You must be logged into the Sibme mobile app before turning on airplane mode in your device's settings. If you do not turn on airplane mode before you begin to record and you receive a phone call, it will stop the video recording.

Not so. a6400 allows face tracking in video all 4K modes. There are a few exceptions. Play Memories Remote (now Image Edge) disables face tracking in video. But it still tracks, mostly on closest object, even the face if it is closest to camera. Just doesn't show the face tracking box.

The problem I see from the screen shot above is that the focus mode is set for center. Face tracking only works in WIDE focus mode. Change your focus mode to wide, and ensure that "Face Priority in AF" is set to ON... This setting found inside the Face/Eye AF Set menu on Camera 1 tab page 6... Just as Paul Wasserman advised.

Airplane mode must be ON for FACE TRACKING to work in video. Setting to OFF is required for PlayMemories (Image Edge), and I may have misled into suggesting that it's a PM/IE problem. We can actually leave Smartphone Camera Control set to ON, but it only activates when Airplane mode is turned OFF... Which disables FACE TRACKING. Set Airplane mode to ON, and use WIDE AF AREA, in addition to the "Face/Eye AF Set menu on Camera 1 tab page 6..." that you rightly noted Paul.

Sony leaves us guessing about many things. Why the 24mp cameras require crop in 4K 30p is a complete mystery to me. The 42mp A-Mount a99II does NOT crop any 4K in any mode. Perhaps my memory is fading, but I don't recall my a7RII or RIII requiring the crop for 4K 30p. But the a6400 and a7III both require crop from their fullest frame setting in 4K 30p. Even the a9 requires a crop for 4K 30P

When camera body center joystick push is set for "Focus Standard" on a9, it will lock focus in center in AF-C mode, as intended. But same function for vertical battery grip joystick push only gives half "Focus Standard" function. It will reset to center, but not lock focus like the camera joystick will.

Logan, Juanpa and Andrew Bachelor take a taxi to the airport, and Andrew tells Logan that prankster Vitaly Zdorovetskiy will be on the same flight, as he is being extradited back to Australia to be put on trial for an incident involving dingoes. Juanpa goes to immigration where the customs officer believes that he is an illegal immigrant, and deports him back to Mexico, although Juanpa convinces him to deport him to Australia as he is desperate to lose his virginity. Logan goes through customs smoothly, but his fear of flying gets the better of him and has to be forced to get on the plane by his friends. Logan takes his seat next to a woman named Jenna, who has similar femur scars as him, and she holds his hand as the plane is about to take off. The pilots announce over the intercom that all passengers should put their smartphones on airplane mode, which they refuse to do. The phone signals causes havoc within the plane's wiring, resulting in the pilots getting electrocuted to their death. One of the flight attendants, Clarice, looks through the peephole, walks in and then immediately walks out, thinking that the pilots are having oral sex.

Yes. Both the UK and the EU have recently allowed airlines in its member countries to begin providing 5G to passengers in the air, making airplane mode a thing of the past. Officials in the UK and EU were given a deadline of June 30, 2023, to make 5G frequency bands available for airlines.

Probably not. In fact, it may be more important than ever to put your phone in airplane mode. For months, US officials and air travel experts have been wringing their hands over how new mobile 5G frequencies will affect airplane equipment across the country. The issue is that the 5G signal can interfere with a specific device called an altimeter, which uses radio waves to give pilots readings on how far a plane is above the ground. It can be a crucial device, especially when landing in bad weather or low visibility.

While upgrading relevant equipment in the cockpit will help avert the most dire safety issues with 5G, it also means that travelers in the US should expect to keep switching their devices to airplane mode for the foreseeable future. 006ab0faaa
