Can You Download Netflix On Hotspot

Hi! We use a Sprint hotspot for our home internet. Not ideal, but it's literally our only option. So suddenly a couple weeks ago it stopped letting us use Netflix on any device connected (ps4, smart TVs, laptops) except the app on my phone. It also won't let us use Funimation on PS4, and my house mate reports that pornhub has been blocked for a long time. What is going on??? Can we fix this? Hulu and Prime video still work, thank God.

I just received a new Apple TV 64G as a gift. I want to use my new Apple TV and my iPhone 5s while in my RV to stream Netflix (without any WIFI). However, I am one of those individuals who is still grandfathered into unlimited data through ATT, and therefore using my phone as a hotspot is disabled by ATT (so using my phone as a hotspot is not an option). I have been searching the Internet, and have not seen anything promising... Before I actually open the Apple TV package (keeping my option of returning the gift), I am trying to determine if there is any confirmed solution to the "streaming with no wifi/no hotspot" problem? This was my reason wanting the Apple TV.

I do not think it is a technical problem for Apple, it's more of an emotional one. If they did, they would have some angry carriers and cable companies. The carrier would not get the hotspot fee and many cable carriers would loose the business. The customers would love it!

I'm trying to figure out how I can chromecast. I have a 4G hotspot. But the data has a limit. My phone not using the hotspot is unlimited. So, I can't connect our Roku to the hotspot. I'd run out of data in no time. What I was thinking is I would use something like Netflix. My phone would be connected to wifi. Netflix would be playing using the 4G but then casting it to the chromecast over my home wifi.

I just did a dry run at it. (Still in the old house.) I unplugged my fiber modem. I found a setting in my pixel that says "Switch to mobile data automatically if wifi has no internet." But it doesn't appear to be working for me. I can play stuff on netflix without a problem. But, as soon as I try to cast it to the tv, it faills. Any ideas?

We have been lurking and see that many hotels including the barcelo bavaro delux have wifi issues or problems noted on reviews.? Are these router issues? Should we get a wifi stick? Not sure what it costs from canada for a week down south? Buying wifi at our hotel is $45 (i think) and it is "per device". Any advice? On netflix assume you cannot use this in DR (subscribing from canada or US). Can someone confirm? Thanks!!

We used the Gobecon device last year as well. It worked great on the veranda of our room and at the beach and elsewhere on and off the resort. We were on the main floor of Esmeralda so internet did not work if you were inside the room and though we did get netflix working it was quite slow vs being at home. Still, we've booked again for this year - can't beat the price and as the OP mentioned - seems that most Wifi provided by the resorts is slower.

Have seen it mentioned that If you still can't connect to Netflix after trying the various fixes may contact your internet service provider (ISP) and ask them for help with the DNS. Ask your ISP to make sure that your device can connect to Netflix address: secure.netflix.com.

Hoping you can help with a strange issue I have. Perhaps Friday night (17.02) all of a sudden I started having issues playing certain titles in Netflix (was watching them throughout the week). Watching Netflix through a firestick, each time I launch Netflix on my broadband Wi-Fi connection these titles do not appear. However when I drop the Wi-Fi connection and connect to my hotspot these titles in Netflix appear and work. This is the same on my laptop and on my phone.
