Terraria, the side-scrolling sandbox game originally released on Windows PC in 2011 by indie studio Re-Logic, will be available on mobile devices this summer, publisher 505 Games announced today.

Terraria on mobile will include leaderboards and achievements, as well as Facebook integration that will allow players to share screenshots. Codeglue is optimizing Terraria for smartphone and tablet touchscreens, according to 505 Games. Nikon's SnapBridge app is now available for Android. Nevertheless, the studio has promised to share more information about the subject at some point in the near future.

This will surely put even more pressure on its competition, as the title already earned five times the mobile revenue of PUBG in their first week of availability for on-the-go devices. So, it will be interesting to see how the free-to-play Battle Royale title shapes up on Android this summer.

I am a GSoC aspirant and I would like to work on a new project idea, which is an android app which automates building of APK on android phone without any internet connection. I have been researching on creation of APK and gradle working for a long time. I have implemented many prototypes of working of android build tools on android(will mention in my GSoC proposal). Basically there are four main stages of apk creation which are- resource merging, compiling, dex generation and apk building and signing. I am going to implement all these functionalities in my android app. I wish to spend my summer creating an android app to design and create apps, which includes a drag and drop design view for applying Text Views, Layouts, Checkboxes etc. I firmly believe that I am the right candidate to work on this technology, working for Elastic Community within the respected GSoC time period.
