Can You Download From Abc Iview !!INSTALL!!

I don't know if this is possible, but I'm sure someone here can help. Will Lightroom import metadata as well as thumbnails from iView Media Pro? I have been using iView (now Expression Media) and it is now beginning to look like a big mistake. I am having problems since I "upgraded" to Expression and their pay support is nearly as much as buying Lightroom. I simply will not go through the ordeal of scanning 33,000 images and all the labeling (keywords, etc.) again just to make a change. Any other suggestion will be appreciated.

I'm away from my Mac for a few hours, but if I recall, the metadata from my iView images were carried over into LR. There is no seamless importing however, I had to recreate all categories and then drag and dropped each group of iView images into LR.

One route is to write the metadata from any iView catalogs back to the individual files, using Sync Annotations. When the files are imported into LR, it will read and import the metadata into it's own database and generate the previews.

I would definitely look at migrating from iView sooner rather than later, and I agree that the Capture One asset management capabilities are not very good (as well as expensive). Even if you keep iView going in the short term, the time will come when there will be file formats that it cannot read. I have not used iView, but if it can save metadata as .XMP sidecar files, you will have no problem importing into either IMatch or PhotoMechanic.

Thanks Vincent & Graham - IMatch is one I hadn't looked at. Will keep it in mind, especially the upcoming 2020 version, and will also check that I can import all my info from iView which is a must. Once it's released, I might run it in tandem with iView on Win 7.

If I had to migrate metadata from iView it myself in 2021 (2020 is best forgotten!) I would try to export text from MediaPro's list view layout into a text file (txt or csv) and then use LrTransporter to get the metadata into LR. Sadly I can't remember the MediaPro menu commands, though I recollect that one can set up the list view's columns and then copy the rows to the clipboard and paste into a text file. I'd then use the LrTransporter plugin to import the text file's contents into LR.

Custom fields are tricky, not least because LR doesn't support them. You might get LrTransporter to import each custom field into an underused standard IPTC field like Headline, and then use Search and Replace to copy from Headline to one of its own custom fields. It's a geeky, creaky path....

Hi, I installed iView as testinstall, connected to both Sophos UTMs we use. Only the data of one of the two are to see at iView.

The second UTM is pingable from iView console.

I am wondering is there domains I can add to my denylist or allowlist or any other settings I can change on my configuration settings page for NextDNS that will allow me to keep NextDNS enabled as my system wide add blocker but also keep ABC iview working at the same time as well?

I just did some experimenting on a Google Pixel 4A. I logged on to NextDNS and set up an experimental profile with no block lists, deny lists or allow lists. When the iview app took me to the ABC login page in a browser, I just got a blank page. After adding cdn.permutive.app and cdns.au1.gigya.com to the allow list, clearing the browser cache and clicking through again from iview, the ABC login page appeared in the browser. I logged in and iview streaming worked for me.

Thanks for posting, but sadly I didn't get the same success. Added both cdn.permutive.app and cdns.au1.gigya.com to the allow list in the config settings profile and cleared the browser cache too. The only point of difference is that I used the ABC iview website which I turned into a progressive web app. I prefer using the website/web app of ABC iview instead of the main Google Play Store app because of the PiP support that the PWA created from the web browser has built-in, but anyway no such luck.
