Just a bit of background, I had somewhere around 10 custom teams made. I haven't created or deleted any teams in about a month. Is there any reason that the teams I've put hours of work into to disappear? Internet issues? Game version? Glitches??

I have a problem updating a custom app in Microsoft Teams (scope "personal"). I changed the manifest (added some tabs, increased the version, kept the app-id).I uploaded the new package in the Teams admin center under -apps/{app-id}

In Teams admin center I can now see the increased version number and description. The app is shown as published and allowed to be used. Also I have no pending approvals. But when I open my personal custom app in the Teams client or browser the app is not updated. (Old version number, old description,...). Same in the store under "Apps developed for your organization". Old version, old description.

I need to add two custom fields to all projects. At this time, we are leaning towards using Teams (agency managing multiple projects for multiple clients). However, one thing I am unclear on is if I can create a Custom Field that appears in all Projects across all Teams? (I know I can add them each time I setup a project, but since we use these for every client and every project, I was hoping to streamline.) Thanks!

Just create a template that contains those custom fields; then each time you create a new project from that template, the custom fields will automatically be there. And per your other question and my answer, this works across the whole organization, including having multiple teams.

Actually if it will be the same value for all items (or a subset of items) in the project, you can use Shift-click to select multiple tasks, and then set the value of the custom field for all of those selected tasks at once.

It would make way more sense to allow teams/orgs to set up Page Structure, Cover Page, screen sizes, etc. in a managed template, and have that available for designers when starting a new project. I mean come on, Sketch had this feature in 2013.

The Custom Lists Editor will open to a blank form for creating a new custom list. The menu on the right will show the custom lists already created in different categories. Click on a custom list to edit it. Clicking on  Create New List is another way to get to the Create New Custom List form.

Want to see how your team compares to other teams in your geographical region regardless of school size or league alignment? How about comparing your team to a rival? With the Custom Lists Editor, you can make any combination your heart desires. See this Sample Team List for an example. This sample list consists of a group of geographically close schools that don't necessarily compete against each other, and the athletes don't normally get compared against each other. We put them all together on the same list to compare rankings in different Track & Field events.

Open the Custom Lists Editor as shown above and fill in Name and Description. Make sure Type is Teams, and uncheck the boxes for the Sports you wish to exclude from the list. The checkbox under Public publishes the list on your team's homepage, while unchecking it will make the custom list visible only to your coaches. Finally, click Create.

Want to see what a dream team of top athletes in your area would look like? Make a custom list. Fill in Name, Description, make sure Type is Athletes, uncheck the boxes for the Sports you DON'T want the list to show, uncheck the Public box if you only want your coaches to be able to view, and finally click Create. See this Sample Athlete List for an example.

When all the AthleteID's has been added to the list, click Add +. Now that your list is completed, click Save. Then click View List  to view the custom list.

Want to see how your league is shaping up right before the championship? Make a custom list of all your league's final dual meets. Fill in Name and Description, and make sure Type is Meets. Include the DivisonID if you would like to filter results to a specific division (i.e. if you add a meet to the list that has both Oregon and Washington teams, only the Oregon teams' results will show on the custom list when using the Oregon DivisionID). Uncheck the Public box if you only want your coaches to be able to view, and finally click Create. See this Sample Meets List for an example.

Do you have an annual invitational or league championship you want to keep records on? You can do that by creating a custom meet list, specifically a Meet History list. Fill in the Name for the list (Franzke Invitational in this example), Description, then change the Type to Meet History. Finally click Create. See this Sample Meet History list for an example.

Personally I have no clue as to why Microsoft thinks it is a great idea to remove our custom branded backgrounds in favor of giving employees access to Minecraft and other childish backgrounds, but as usual, they did.

Create a custom theme. To do this, go to the Teams admin center and navigate to Organization > Themes. Click Add and create a new theme.Remove the backgrounds that you don't want your employees to use. In the Backgrounds section, click Remove next to the backgrounds that you want to disable.Assign the theme to your employees. Once you have removed the backgrounds, click Save and then assign the theme to your employees.

Users with a Teams Premium license will be able to override the custom background policy and use any of the backgrounds that are available in Teams. To prevent this, you can enable the Custom background policy override setting in the Teams admin center.

There is something you can do with it if you don't have Teams Premium. You can create a custom theme and remove the backgrounds that you don't want your employees to use. To do this, follow the steps below:

Once you have assigned the custom theme to your employees, they will no longer be able to use the backgrounds that you have removed. However, they will still be able to use the backgrounds that are included in the custom theme.

Next, you can choose how long you want your custom status message to be displayed. You can choose a specific time, such as 30 minutes or 1 hour, or you can choose to have it displayed until you manually change it.

In conclusion, setting custom status messages in Microsoft Teams is a quick and easy way to communicate your availability, location, or current task to your team members. By following these simple steps, you can create a custom status message that will help you stay connected and productive.

To allow any of your users access to the Microsoft provided custom filters, you need to first enable the app at tenant level. In the Teams Admin Center choose Apps > Manage Apps. Locate Custom Filters in the list and ensure it is set to Allowed.

You've probably seen friends, or colleagues in various video conferences using custom backgrounds to replace their background with something more interesting. Read on to learn how to set your own custom backgrounds.

Microsoft Teams first stared supporting custom backgrounds, known as Background Effects, in April 2020; however, it only provides options to choose from pre-selected backgrounds. Microsoft is scheduled to roll out the ability to set your own custom backgrounds in May, or early June. If you can wait, you should do that.

If you're confident in navigating your Mac's file system, then you can use the following steps to add your own custom backgrounds to the list of availalbe options. Be warned though - this technique is entirely unsupported by Microsoft.

In Microsoft Teams (primarily used on Windows but Mac as well), I often switch between 2 audio setups: my Jabra headset, and my desktop speakers + webcam mic. In Teams, I can easily select the headset, in the Audio Devices dropdown menu (Device Settings->Audio Settings->Audio devices), but if I want to switch to the other config, I have to manually select the Speaker and Microphone. Is there a way to save my custom config as a new Audio Device, so I don't have to manually select each time?

Organizations that use GitHub Enterprise Cloud can use team synchronization to automatically add and remove organization members to teams through an identity provider.
