Australian and New Zealand residents can purchase a special Disneyland ticket that is not sold at the parks: a 10-Day Disney Vacation Pass, which is basically a 10-Day Disneyland Park Hopper ticket, including one Magic Morning admission. Typically this ticket sells for only a few dollars more than a 5-day Park Hopper, making it a great deal for longer trips. This ticket is only sold in Australia and New Zealand, through travel agents including Flight Centre and Air New Zealand Holidays. Not all agents list the Disneyland tickets on their web site; you may need to call to get prices and buy the tickets. The price of Disneyland tickets purchased in Australia and New Zealand is adjusted periodically to conform to the current exchange rate. Thanks to Paula S for info.

Disneyland has frequently offered discounted tickets to Southern California residents during the winter season. The most recent deal enable locals to buy 3-day passes good for 1 park per day for $199 and park hopper tickets for $259, good between Jan. 3 and May 26.

Single-day tickets are still available, with variable pricing and subject to blackout dates. Park-hopper tickets, which allow guests to move between the parks after 1 p.m. subject to availability, can be purchased for an extra $60 per day.

In another operational change, D'Amaro announced that Disneyland Resort guests with Park Hopper tickets will be able to switch parks at 11am, starting February 4. Right now, the Park Hopper start time is 1pm at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.

Rather than having an arbitrary park hopping time, I think it'd make a lot more sense to 1. Remove park specific reservations on hopper tickets and allow those guests to freely hop between both parks from arrival, or 2. Allow park hopping beginning a set amount of time (likely 2-4 hours) after the guest enters the first park. Not allowing it for just a couple hours in the morning really doesn't make much sense as the restriction ends earlier than the peak arrival window at the resort, and unlike Florida where only about 20% of guests hop parks (especially without a midday break), roughly 70% of those at Disneyland have the hopper option and treat the resort as one giant park.
