Can I Download Apps From Google Play To My Kindle Fire

If your goal is to be completely rid of update notifications from apps you can't update, your best bet is to factory reset your Kindle. A complete factory reset will get rid of Google Play and will eliminate the update notifications. Then you can re-install the apps you've purchased via the Kindle's native app store.

I have the new Fire 7 Kids version. I was able to install the google play store and downloaded the "Youtube Kids" that my child loves, but I can't seem to add it to the child profile. The only apps it allows me to select are those downloaded from Amazon's own app store. Is there anyway around this?

Installing app on freetime profile. First from child freetime profile settings menu under security enable third party apps. For youtube kids I needed to install google play services onto the child profile (file 2 and 3 from this site.) then I install the youtube kids apk. (If you install google play store on the main profile you can get youtube kids or any other apk by downloading the app from play store then using an app like "MyAppSharer" that extracts the apk.)

I have made a pretty good search for appropriate Kindle versions of well regarded Android media apps and finally settled on installing and using two different apps. One is called Avia, and the other is Bubble/UPnP and are free at the Kindle app store. While WD is partially at fault, the ultimate blame lies with Amazon for locking down the Fire tablets so pretty much only apps from the Amazon store are allowed to be installed on the Fire, and not the run of the mill Android apps from the Google Play store that can be installed on a whole host of other Android tablets and smartphones.

As far as I can tell, it seems that when the Event.ACTIVATE fires, the app runs and Amazon just tosses a screen-lock overlay on top. My app is running at full frame rate (and playing audio) underneath the screen lock, but there are no events I can listen for to tell when the unlock happens.

Once you have the setting enabled that allows you to install non-play store apps, you can think of installing .apk files as no different from how you installed Joplin on Windows - think of it like Android's version of an installer .exe file.

If you download Google play store on your fire tablet, you should be able to install any app from the play store on your tablet. I checked both Google and Amazon app store neither offer soundcore for my Amazon fire HD 10. So keep to what you know bud.

Hello. I recently installed Google Play on an Amazon Fire 10 Generation 9 tablet with OS 7.3.2.7. There is a child profile established on the tablet, as well as an adult profile and parental control.
