Green Bay Wisconsin
In addition to checking out Door County and visiting with family, a prime objective for our September Wisconsin trip was to attend the first 3 home Green Bay Packer games: 9/10 vs. the Seahawks, 9/24 vs. the Bengals, and 9/28 vs. da Bears. This objective was accomplished at 1265 Lombardi Avenue, Green Bay, WI, aka Lambeau Field!

When Scott lived in Green Bay during elementary school, his family attended Sunday School and Worship Services at the Green Bay United Methodist Church. We joined in worship there on the morning of game day and felt quite at home dressed in our Packer gear! First United "is the oldest chartered Methodist Church in Wisconsin," started in 1826. The current facility dates to 1929. The traditional main entrance pictured below.
Psalm 29:2 on left
Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
2 Chronicles 6:20 on right
That thine eyes may be open[ed] upon this house day and night ... the place thou hast put thy hand.
Packer Game #2 went in the record books as the hottest regular season Packer home game at Lambeau Field. Fortunately, Scott was able to purchase a wide-brimmed hat before the game because our seats were in the sunshine until about the 4th quarter! Peggy enjoyed much of the game inside the stadium atrium sampling local Wisconsin beverages and Brats?

Packer Game #3 -- Thursday night game with DA Bears created another unusual circumstance at Lambeau -- we (along with 72,000 of our closest friends) were required to evacuate the stadium at the end of Q1 while a quick thunderstorm passed through the area. But before the game, we had a chance for a walking tour in downtown Green Bay along the Fox River.

The Packers now lead the all-time series with DA Bears 95-94-6. This is the first time GB has led since the series tied on Sept 24, 1933. Lightning should flash at Lambeau more often!
