MARCH 20 - 22
BCIT Student Association is holding a Gender Equity Awareness campaign to promote gender parity and inclusion. We advocate for the right of each person to be included, valued, and respected, and we envision a campus where diversity is fostered and celebrated.
The three-day campaign, March 20-22, aims to create conversations and recognition of the issues faced by women on campus which act as barriers to their success at BCIT. We encourage men to recognize and speak up against discrimination, especially in historically male-dominated fields.
The campaigning effort will include educational games, social media contest, prizes and raffles, refreshments, and more. We have also invited BCIT/BCITSA and industry experts who will be delivering a speaker series event and a workshop.
