Stage 6 Camino de Costa Rica
The Hiker House sits between Sitio Mata and Silencio, a short walk from either town, with one of the best views on the trail: a new, modern, detached casita overlooking Lake Angostura and the Turrialba Valley. Stay in the private casita or a room in our home — either way, breakfast and dinner are cooked and shared with us.
Located near the end of Stage 6 on the Camino de Costa Rica, though many hikers combine Stage 5 and hike straight through to the house.

Casita: a detached, fully private space. Sleeps two in a loft with a full bed. Own kitchen, bathroom, entrance, and balcony — stay as private as you like.
Main House: where we live. One guest bedroom, plus an office that converts into a second bedroom, both inside our home. Rooftop deck, main deck, and bedroom balconies.
However you stay, breakfast and dinner are part of the experience. We cook for our guests and enjoy sitting down and hanging out with hikers passing through.
